Arrived for my 3:50 appointment at 3:43. I was given a billing sheet and told it would be a few minutes. I sat quietly and read, checked Facebook, etc. At around 4:35 I asked if it was possible I had missed hearing my name being called, and the receptionist said no, and that it should be just a few minutes more. At 4:45 I went back to the desk and asked again if I would be seen. She told me that there had been an "incident" in the back, and that it would be a few more minutes for them to clean a room for me. I asked if it was normal to wait an hour, to which the receptionist replied "for Dr. Dyer, yes it is". I then gave the billing sheet back to her and told her that I was leaving. She asked if I wanted to reschedule, to which I politely replied, "no thanks, I'll call back when I figure out a time". Truth is, I'm never going back! What makes it OK to have to wait ONE HOUR to see a doctor? If he were some specialist and was the only one in my area, I might consider going back, but this is a Family Practice doctor! If this is what our medical system is coming to, I don't want any part of it. The most disturbing part is that no one said a word, they just let me leave. No apology or attempt to talk to me about it. To me, this is a horrible way to run a business, which is what a doctors office is. Keep it up, and there won't be any business to run!
